CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 15, 1986 - 8:15 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned regular
session at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium.
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute Call to order
to the Flag.
INVOCATION was given by Reverend Elmer Nelson of the Invocation
Foursquare Gospel Church.

Councilman Cook presented a Certificate of Appreciation Certificate
to outgoing Councilmember Camarena, which was received from of Apprec.to
Congressman Martinez' office. A. Camarena

Various citizens and non-residents addressed Council with
regard to supporting the Headstart Program in Azusa, as
this program is scheduled for cancellation at the end of
June, 1987.
Mayor Moses offered a resolution which the City Administrator
read in full, entitled:

resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by
the following vote of the Council:

BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
COMPANY.
9. The resignation, for purposes of retirement, of Captain Resignation/
Richard Lara, effective April 19, 1986, was accepted; retirement
further that a resolution/plaque be prepared commending R.A. Lara
Captain Lara, which will be presented at a later date.
10. Appointment of Keith Ascar as Reserve Police Officer, Appt K. Ascar
effective April 16, 1986, was approved.

THE CITY COUNCIL DID NOT CONVENE AS THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY AS NO BUSINESS WAS NECESSARY TO BE TRANSACTED.

March 28, 1986.
Testimony was received from appellant and representative
from Marketing firm; staff reports were available for Council
perusal.

unanimously carried by roll call to close the Hearings.
