MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 9t 1990 - 4:00 P.M.
he City Council of the City of Azusa met in Special Session
t the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium.
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order. Call to order

ALSO PRESENT
STEMRICH, NARANJO, MOSES
Acting City Attorney Hanna, City Administrator Diaz, Public
Information Officer Cooper, Deputy City Clerk Lara,
Administrative Clerk Sifuentes.

Also present
The purpose of the Special Meeting was to hold a Press Purpose of
Conference relating to malathion spraying and discussion meeting
regarding demand letters sent by the City of Azusa to
Governor Deukmejian.
rsuant to Government Code Section 54956, the 'Notice of Certification
pecia1 Meeting' was personally delivered or faxed to each of Spec Mtg
ouncilmember as well as the media twenty -fours in advance notice - Cncl
f the date and time set for the meeting, in accordance with and media
law.
The City Administrator and the Public Information Officer Statements
then made statements regarding malathion spraying and the Diaz &
reason for the Press Conference. Cooper
The Mayor and each Councilmember then made a statement to
the Press and the television media.
Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Stemrich and
unanimously carried* to adjourn.
