Present at roll call; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach. The Minutes of Nov. 25th, 1912 were read and approved. President Roach reported on a communication he had received from the c Inter City Commission regarding the borrowing of $300.00 to pqy off some dept that had been incurred during the election . Mr Brubaker came before the Board asking for a refund of taxes as AN the Board of Equalization had promised to make a reduction in the val- uation of his land but it was never made. Re was instructed that if he would make out a demand and present it to the Board at their next meet- ing it would be granted. Moved by Case seconded by Clark that the City Engimeer make the necessary surveys for the proposed pipe line in the Bowers Tract. Motion carried. Superintendent Thompson stated that there were no fire plugs on A �� Sixth Street below Alameda Avenue and that if the Contractors laying the sidewalk were allowed to use water from the private hydrants it would cause a lot of trouble as it did. on San Gabriel and he would like to install fire plugs at Dalton and 6th, Soldanorandu6th1jasadena and I t r r^,••T,�r. j 6th, Cerritos and 6th, and Center and-.�th. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Case that .Mr Thompson install the fire plugs. Motion carried. Moved by Barnesm seconded by Clark that the President appoint n" " a Committee to tender a bid in behalf of the City for the Tennis Club R-sYq,• lots that are to be sold at Auction. Motion carried. President Roach appointed Case, Barnes, Collins. Trustees Clark stated that Mrs Durfee had asked him to ask the Board for the use of the City Hall for the Parent Teachers Associationd..,a(Ga and the Chagla r of Commerce meeting to be held the first Monday in January ,1913. :.loved by Clark, seconded by Collins that the Parent Teachers Assn and the Chamber of Commerce be given the Hall for their meeting, free of charge. Motion carried. ISI Lr Gierlich stated that he would have the profile and grades for, San Gabriel Avenue, from Third Street to Second Street ready fpr the ' next meeting. An application for a Pool -room License accompanied by Check, for the quarter commencing Januar;, lst,1913,and ending April let, 1913, for G. B. Stevens , was read by the Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Collins that the demands for the arrests of prisoners filn,d by ',7, 1, Hamlilin be referred to the City Attorney for hiss opinion as to whether ornnot, Mr Hamblin is not paid an extra salary for that purpose. Berner stating that the Santa Re RR. was working on the Zig-zag signals. Trustee Collins offered a Resolution being a"Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, Declaring the Office of Superintendent of Parks , of the City of Azusa, Vacant. The Resolution was read by the Clerk. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Collins thatthe Resolution be. adopted as read. Roll call; Ayes; Collins, Byrnes, Clark, Case and Roach, Noes; None.
