President Roach being I i meeting was called. to order by Trustee Clark, absent. Present at Holl Call Cull -ins., Barnes, Clark. Absent Case and Roach. The minutes of Dec. 9th and Dec, 16th, were read and approved. Communications from 0, L. `/a.n :dyke, V, 0. Metcalfe, San Gabriel )5 /uQ d1 Valley Inter9City Commission, and a Pettition from the residents of Soldano Ave, were reqd by the clerk. The communications of V. 0. Metcalfe, 0. E. Van Slyke and S. K. ut- ter regarding the leasing of the City's land around the old reservoir tb were referred to the Public Works Committee to report next meeting. Wright of the Home Telephone Co, came before the Board with a pruposition to install a private exr.hgnge telephone system in the �a City Hail. The matter was turned over to the Public Works Committee. Mr. J. T. Lindley came before the Board asking what they intedded 1110h, doing about the water main that is broken or, 9th Street, After some ,I little discussion he mad ea proposition to the Board of Trustees where- b­ the Azusa Foothill Association would pay half the expense purchas- ing pine and laying same and would give the City a right of way through the 50 foot strip of land owned by the Azusa Foothill Co, Jdat north of the Santa Fe Track, from Dalton to the Foothill Packing House. . It was moved by Collins seconded by Barnes that the resolution be adopted as read, i Boll Call Ayes: Collins, Barnes, Clark, Roach Noes: Prone Absent: Case. i p The Azusa "uomais Club asked nermi-cion to lay sidewalk in front rof their Club house at this time as they had the work donated and woul like to have the grade stakes set.. the Bo:rd decided that they had no objergtion to them laying their sidewalk and the City Bngineer said that hh would net the stakes for thorn. The Street Supt• stated that the gum trees in front of ilr. H. C. ',l_:ns's House were in a vary bad condition and should be removed and thit Mr. Thomas stated that if the Board would let him he would have them removed at his expense.
