M. ` Present at roll call; Collins, Barnes, Clark., Case and Roach. j The minutes of December 23rd,1912 weret•read and approved, A petition was read from.the residents of Orange 9— R Ave. asking for the installation of a fire plug on Orange Q=== Ave. �r e between Sixth Street and Center Street, Moved by Case seconded by Collins that the petition be granted FZ." )a— i and the fire plug be installed Motion carried. Petition was read from the residents of Alameda Ave. and Dalton Avenue near Sixth Street for the installation of Street Lights on the corner of Sixth and Alameda , and Sixth and Dalton Ave. i The Light Superintendent was instructed to investigate the matter and turn in an estimate on the cost of installation at the next meeting. A communication was read from J. H. Malone asking to lease A the land around the old City reservoir. Trustee Clark an chairman of the Public Works Committee stated 1 that the Committeatconsidered Mr Utters bid of $40,.00 an acre and guaranteeing to use City Water for irrigating , the best propositign3. " -f The City Attorney was instructed to draw up a contract leas- ing Mr Utter the land around the old reservoir at $40.00.per Acre, he agreeing to use City Water for irrigation. Mr Cardwell came befgre the Board stating that in as much as the reservoir had been tapped on the South Bide instead of the North aide as agreed , and in as much as the coat was considerable 1 greater on the account of the tapping on the South side ofsthed reservoir , he thought the City ought to pay. $25.00 moretowardB the laying of pipe. The matter was referred to the Public Works Committee.. Mr Leland Poage.came before Phe Board as a representative.(`) of the Azusa Agricultural Water Compamy, asking that they.be given free use oIg the old City Reservoir for the ensuing year. Moved by Case, seconded by Collins, that MnePoages request be granted, and the City Attorney draw up the necessary papprs. Motion carried. Mrs Dr Hill came before the Board asking that the City pur- chase more fire hose. �\ Specifications regarding the printing contract for the ensuing p ^7 year were reaei by the Clark.. � ' Moved by Barnes, seconded by Colljne that the specifications be adopted as read.- - Roll call; Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark. Engineer Gierlich stated that he thought it a good plan to use y w.d oil. macadam on the street crossings ,on the streets that were not clayed or paved,and that the same could be done without test to the City. Trustee Case offered a Resolution , being a Resolution of the 2- -5-0, Board of Trustees ofthe City of Azusa PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF CERTAMN FUNDS.- The UNDS. The Resolution was read by the Clerk. Moved by Case, seconded by Barnes that the Resolution be adopted as read. Roll call; Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach. I Noes; None. Absent: None.
