The City Council of the City of Azusa met in Special session at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium. Mayor Moses called the meeting to order, and led in the salute to the Flag. PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: DANGLEIS, MADRID, NARANJO, ALEXANDER, MOSES ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE Interim City Attorney Barnes, City Administrator Garcia, Chief of Police Nelson, Director of Finance Craig, City Clerk Solis. Call to Order Roll Call Also Present The purpose of the Special Meeting was to consider for approval four Purpose of Consent Calendar items and an Ordinance relating to an amendment to the Mtg. public Employees' Retirement System Contract. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, the "Notice of Special Meeting" was delivered to each Councilmember, on the date and time set forth in the following: E. MOSES 3/28/94 - 9:30 A.M. J. HERNANDEZ The City Clerk further certifies that the following news media were also notified of the Special Meeting: Certification of Special Meeting Notice/Cncl/ Media San Gabriel Valley Tribune/Herald ' Los Angeles Times Crown Cable TV The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 4 was Consent Cal approved by motion of Councilman Dangleis, seconded by Councilman 1-4, appvd Naranjo and unanimously carried by roll call vote. 1. Approval was given to the Azusa Police Department to request proposals for architectural and engineering services to design both new construction and remodeling of existing police facilities. The general concept is to connect the adjacent light and water building to the police building by new construction and expanding the police facility to accommodate the growth that has occurred within the city and the police department within the past two decades. The new design should incorporate projected direction of the police department and the city. 2. Approval was given to Progressive purchase the equipment from Progressive Solutions, Inc., low quote, in Solutions Inc. the amount of $5300 for the unit and $895 for the projector and a carrying case. 4. Resolution authorizing payment of warrants by the City was adopted and entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Res. 94-055 AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND Warrants SPECIFYING THE FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID.
