The Board of Trustees of'the City of Azusa mdit in regular
session at 7:35 P.M.
Present at Roll Call Collins, Barnes, Clark Roach.
The Minutes of June 9th were read and approved. Trustee
Case now present.
It was moved by Barnes seconded by Clark that the bids
for the improvement work on Dalton Ave be'opened read and ex -
ermined. Motion Carried.
The following bids were read by the Clerk.

referred to the City Engineer to report next meeting. Monday
night June 30th 1913 at 7:30 $.M.
Communications were' read from' theRailroad Cominissian
of California, Palomares & Ross,and C. W. Jones of Sierra
Madre.
Some of the property owners of the Platt Ranch came
before the Board asking that the Board devise some plan so that
they could pay for the water they used instead of allipaying
the same amount wheter they deed the water or not. They were
told to communicate with the Public'SYdrke committee in regard
to the matter.

was moved by Barnes seconded by Case
that the bide be
referred to the City Engineer to report next meeting. Monday
night June 30th 1913 at 7:30 $.M.

It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the hearing of
Creeent Drmve be continued until next meeting. Motion Carried,
Engineer Gierlich stated that the work on Alameda
Ave would not cost enough per lot to be done under the Vrooman
actand the matter was referr ed to the Auditing and Finance
Committee to confer with the property owners and see if they
were willing to have the work put in under the cash act. and r
report next meeting,
Trustee Collins offered a Resolution being A RESOLUTION
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. DECLARING IT ZtR a �C•
I14TENTI"ON TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF CENTRE STREET IN THE CITY
OF AZUSA AND DETERMINING' THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REQ
PRESENT THE COST THEREOF." and moved it adoption.
The Resolution was read by the Clerk.

Mr. Geo. Meier and Mr. A. P. Griffith came before the
Board asking that the speed officer be placed on a salary .
Mr. A. G: Owens came before the Board asking if the
work done on Pasadena Ave by the Azusa Irrigating Co was satis-
factory. The matter was referred to the Public Works Committee
The Azusa Orange Growers Protective Ase'n asked per-

i mission to run their pipe line down Pasadena instead of Cerritos.

It was moved by Case and seconded by Clark tha the City Atty.
draw up a franchise ordinance under the usual conditions for
this proposed pipe line of the Azusa Orange Growers Protective
Aseln. Motion Carried,
I Trustee Clark offerred a Resolution and moved its
adoption being " A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA ABANDONING ALL PROCEEDINGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
OF A PORTION OF ALAMEDA AVENUE AND REPEALING RESOLUTION
NUMBER 268, OF RESOLUTIONG.OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ."
The motion was seconded by Collins Roll Call Ayes:
Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case, Roach, Noes: None, Absent: None.
The Board of Public Works reported the following rates
to be charged for the rept of the City Hall,
Local talent not charging admission .......... $1.00

Outside talent not charging admission ........ 45.00
Outside talent charging admission ............ $10.00
It was moved by Cdllins and seconded by Case that the
rates be adopted Motion carried.
It was moved by Case and seconded by Clark that the WCTU
be allowed to put their drinking founatin in the square plot of
hrass but must be in line with the City Hall, Motion carried.
It was moved by Clark and seconded by Barnes that the

City Engineer re-establish the grades on 10th street, Motion
