Azusa, Cal. July 7th. 1913.
The Board of Truettes of the City of Azusa met in regular ad-
journed session at 7:50 P.M.
Present at roll call Collins, Barnee, Clark, Roach. Absent. Case
J. Dalton came before the Board asking that they allow him the
use of the ford- shares of water for the next run which was due in
a few days. He also stated that the Board had called in mm 4 shares
more than half of what he had rented as he has 72 shares rented.
The matter was referred to the Public Works Committee with
power to act.
The City Atty presented a resolution appointing a motor
officer .
It was moved by Collins seconded by Clark that the resolution
be tabled until next meeting as it was impossible to Bay when Mr.
Thorp would be able to go to work. Motion Carried.
President Roach appointed Trustee Clark, Collins Barnes to

canvass the Election Returns.
Trustee. Clark offered a Resolution being.A RESOLUTION OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CIYY OF AZUSA DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE
OFFICIAL COUNT AND CANVASS OF THE VOTE OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION AS CALLOD UNDER THE PROVISION OF RESOLUTION NO 278 OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, AS ADOPTED MAY, 19, 1913, AND WHICH SAID ELECTION
WAS HELD IN SAID CITY OF AZUSA ON THE 24th DAY OF JUNE, 1913.1'and
moved its adoption.
The Resolution was seconded by Collins.
Roll Call Ayes: Collins, Barnes, Clark, Roach.
Noes: None
Absent: Case.
A communication weds read from McQuiston and Currier asking that
the Board have successful bidders on street work in the City of Azusa

pay the advertising bills for street improvement before the cohtrac
is signed up. The matter was referred to the City Atty.
Knight & Burt asked permission to establish and maintain a gaso-
line filling station between the curb and walk in front of their
place of business on Center Street,
Moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the permit be allowed.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the Public
Works Committee, with power to act, confer with Mr. Wright of the
Home Telellhone Co in regard to removing all unnecessary poles on
Azusa Ave from the Foothill Inn to 11th Street. Motion Carried.
It was moved by Barnes beconded by Clark that the Ordinance
establishing the salary of the City Recorder and.establishing fees
to be charged by him in Civil Cases be taken up for the third
reading and put on its final passage. Motion Carried.

The Ordinance was read by the Clerk.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the salary be
changed from $50.00 to $25.00 Motion Carried,
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance
be adopted as amended

GELES COUNTY CALIFORNIA; AND ALSO FROM A LINE DRAWN ACROSS SAID
ALAMEDA AVE14UB FROM THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 13 BLOCK 20 TO
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 22 BLOCK 19 OF SAID MAP OF AZUSA TO
THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF MZVENTH STREET IN SAID CITY."
The Resolution was seconded by Clark Roll Call Ayes Collins,
Barnes, Clark, Roach Noes None, Absent Case.
Trustee Collins offered a resolution being A RESOLUTION OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
IMPROVE A PORTION OF ALAMEDA AVENUE 'IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND DE°
TERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF.

and moved its adoption.
The Resolution was read by the Clerk.
The Resolution was seconded by Barnes. Roll Call Ayes: Collins J
Barnes, Clark, Roach. Noes: None, Absent Case.
City Atty Glover brogghh up the matter of deducting the Aost of
exporting the Clerk's books last November from his salary. The
matter was layed over until next meeting.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that he be given his
Pill salary this moLhh and take it out of next months salary.
Motion carried.
Supt. Thompson stated that the main at San Gabriel and Third
If
Street was too high for the grade of the street and he was instructed
to have same lowered.
Moved by Clark seconded by Collins that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried. .
