AZUSA, California, July, 14th,1913.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session
at 7: P2 M.
Present at roll call, Batonsi;,CSark,,sQa®A<.andandaeh.
Absent; Collins.
The minutes were read by the Clerk.
The following correction was made.in the minutes. The por-
position of Mr Glover payi1igcfpafthg auditing of Clerks books
was to be taken up by the auditing and Finance Connittee, for
adjustment.
The following estimates were presented by Superintendent
of LighbesThompson, Bud Pe)tyjohn, Mrs Grace Thompson, Contract
Water Co, and Foot Hill Transformer.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Barnes that the lights be put
in for the Contract Water Co, they to advance all the money
, same to be taken out of all their light bill.
Motion carried.
Superintendent Thompson stated that the pole at 5th and
San Gabriel Avenue was in very bad shape and needed attention.
Moved by Clam seconded by Barnes that the matter be
referred to the public Works Committee with power to act.
Motion carried.
Moved by Barnes, seconded by Clark that the Ordinance,
being"AN ORDINANCE OF ''THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
ESTABLISHING A FIRE DISTRICT IN SAID CITY OF AZUSA AND REGULATING
THE LOCATION AND CONSTRUCTION. OF BULLRINGS WITHIN SAID DISTRICT
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 118 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ", be taken
up for the first reading.
The Ordinance was read by the Clerk.
Moved by Case, seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance be
declared read for the first time , and taken up for the second
reading.
Motion carried.
The Ordinance was read°by the Clerk.
Moved by Barnes, seconded by Clark that the Ordinance be
declared read for the second time and laid over until the next
regular meeting.
Motion carried.
Engineer Gierlich stated that it Would be necessary to
construct a concrObe gutter at Pasadena 'and Center Street.
The matter was referred to the Public Works Committee to
report next meeting.
Engineer Gierlich also stated'that the curb on Soldano
Avenue would be sixteen feet from the property line.
Moved by Barnes ,seconded by'Clark that the matter be

carried.
Moved by Clark,'seconded by Case that the hearing on
Crescent Drive would be continued until August llth,1913.
Motion carried.
Trustee Barnes offend a Resolution and moved its adoption
being ""A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OB A7.USA APPOINTING HARRY THORP A SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER OF.
THE CITY OF AZUSA, DEFINING'HIS DUTIES AS SUCH OFFICER AND
FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION THEREFOR."
The Resolution was read b9 the Clerk.
The Resolution was secohded by Clark.

Trustee Barnes offered k Resolution and moved its

FUNDS."
