I Present at roll call; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and,Roach. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Communications were read from the Auto Club of Southern California, Carrol Shipman, J.A.Frankeli Los Angeles Rate Assn, Jacob Albrecht, League of•California Municipalities,and=also a communi- cation from I,B.Bannes asking for a vacation beginning September 11th and terminating September 21st,1913. ).)9.�" Moved b Case seconded b Clark that Xiss Barnes be �aC � Y y granted I her vacation. Motion carried, Also an application from T,S.Okir asking for a pool- 'room ool-•room license at 625 Azusa Avenue: Moved by Barnes, seconded by Case that Mr Oki be given a pool -room -license. The -ordinance was read by the Clerk. Moved by Barmes, seconded by Collins that the Ordinance be declared,read for the first time , and taken up for -the second reading, I The Ordinance was read by the Clerk. Moved byv Clark, seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance be declared read for the second time and laid over until neat meeting. 1.4otion carried. x��., City Attorney Glover presented a letter from the County Tax Collector stating that some of the land belonging to the City of Azusa would be sold for the delinquent taxes of 1901, The City AttorneSr was instructed to investigate and if found correct to notify President Roach immediately. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Case that the City Zlerk and President Roach be instructed to draw a warrant if necessary to pay this tax. Motion carried, Moved by Clarl, seconded by Barmes that the Library Fund be given .00125 of this years tax. Motion carried, i 79 I Trustee Clark offered a Resolution and moved its adop- tikon being "A RESOLUTION OF THE HOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THEo CITY OF AZUSA ,FIXING TILE TAX RATE AND LEVYING AND I3ZVYI14G TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1913-1914." j �\) The Resolution was read by the Clark.
