'Present at roll call; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach. Leland Poage was before the Board representing the Azusa Orange Growers Protective ABStn, and asked what depth the. City required the pipe,to be laid on Pasadena Avenue. Mr Poage was, informed by the City Engineer that the top of the pipe should be laid Two feet below the official grade of the street,. (<•�- W.T.Barker,was before the Board asking what was being mr , done with the bridge on First Street, stating that he ,-r would guarantee the money to the City for ,the bridge when completed if necessary. T,S,Ohi made application for, pool room license ending January lst,1914. w^_ _ Moved by Barnes, seconded by Case that Mr Oki be granted J!✓ the. license. Motion carried. ,Trustee Collins offered a Resolution and moved its 30X adoption, being "A RESOLUTION OF THE SOMI) OF TRU13TEFS OF 1 THE CITY OF AZUSA DIRECTING THE CITY CLPJUI TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS OR PROPOSALS FOR THE ERECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF AND THE FURNISHING OF MATERIALS FOR A RE -ENFORCED CONCRETE BRIDGE OVER AND ACROSS THE WASH ON FIRST. STREET KNOWN AS THC "LITTLE DALTON WASH" AND FOR THE CONCRETE STING WALLS TO SAID BRIDGE," The Resolution was readf'by the Clark, The Resolution was seconded by Barnes. Roll Call; Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach. Noes; None. Absent; None. Moved by Case, seconded Barnes that the Water Rates 1� ,a for September,1913 be made the same as June,1913. 1 Roll caibl; Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, and Case, Noes; Roach. Absent; None. The matter of the Couneil and City Officials going to to Venice to the Convention of October 6th to 11th was referred to the Auditing and Finance Committee. Moved by Clark seconded by Case that the matter of the IIi11,IIoard erected on the corner of San Gabriel Avenue e. all �,;.vand Centre Street by V. Montgomery be referred to theCity 87 Attorney and City Marshal. Motion carried, Superintendent Thompson stated that the grammarechool wanted to have Electric Lino,extended'and the lights put in the School houee. Moved by Case, seconded by Clark that the line be ex- tended to the school house, they to pay one-half of the cost and be refunded by one-half of the bill each months Motion carried, Moved by Collins, seconded by Barnes that the meeting 0 ` adjourn, Motion carried, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, �puty Clem.
