The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned regular session at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium. Mayor Madrid called the meeting to order. ROLL CALL PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: HARDISON, STANFORD, ROCHA, BEEBE, MADRID ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cole, Director of Utilities Hsu, Chief of Police Broderick, Community Development Director Bruckner, City Librarian Maghsoudi, Assistant City Manager Craig, Acting Director of Finance Brisco, Police Administrative Services Manager Putrino, Police Captain Garcia, Recreation Supervisor Jacobs, Superintendent of Public Works Pedroza, Economic/Redevelopment Director Andrews, Accounting Services Supervisor Medina, Transportation Manager Mackay, Deputy City Clerk Toscano. Chief of Police Broderick addressed Council detailing Police Department overtime operation, as well as sick leave and the cost effectiveness of having an officer in LA Impact. Call to Order Roll Call Also Present COP comments CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING - to receive and consider evidence and reports Cont Pub Hrg presented relative to the City's Schedule of Fees and Charges for various services. It was Fees & Chrgs consensus of Council to continue the Public Hearing to the meeting of Tuesday, July 6,1999. Cont to 7/6/99 Community Development Director Bruckner presented the budget for Community Com Dev Development/Planning, Community Improvement, Engineering, Public Works, and building budget departments, and answered questions posed by Councilmembers. Acting Director of Finance Brisco presented budget for the Finance Department and Finance answered questions posed by Councilmembers. It was noted that three part time positions budget will be converted to full time; storekeeper and two office specialists. Personnel Analyst Wallace presented the Human Resources Department budget and Human Res answered questions posed by Councilmembers. budget Redevelopment/Economic Development Director Andrews presented Redevelopment budget with a summary of its work program. Discussion was held regarding Downtown Business Association and the Chamber of Commerce budgets and the criteria for freeway reader board. It was consensus of Councilmembers to adjourn.
