The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular adjourned meeting at 7;15 P.M. ?resent at roll call; Collins, Barnes, Case and Roach. Absent; Clark. Moved by Case,.seconded by Barnes that the proposed Ordinance being "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING PERMISSION TO THE PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT A RAILROAD TRACE OVER AND ACROSS A PORTION OF NINTH STREET, AND A TWENTY FOOT ALLEY BETWEEN AZUSA AND ALA"MDA STREET$", be referred to the City Attorney to report next meeting. Motion carried. Trustee Clark now present. Trustee Collins offered a Resolution hnd-moved its adoption being " A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ABANDONI34G AI.L PROCEEDINGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE AND SIXTH STREETS AS PROVIDED FOR IN RESOLUTIONS OF INTENTION.NUbBERED 326.and 327, AND REPEALING SAID RESOLUTIONS. The Resolution was read by the Clerk., The Resolution was seconded by Case. Roll call; Ayes; Collins, Barnes, Clark, Case and.Roach. Noes; • None. Absent; None. Trustee Case offered a Resolution and moved its adoption being " A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION,TO IMPROVE A PORTION,OF SIXTH STREET FROM THE EAST LINE OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE�TO THE WEST LINE OF CERRITOS AVENUE BY PLANTING TREES THEREON IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAID WORK TO BE PREPARED BY THE CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND TO -BE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR SAID WORK". Moved by Case, seconded by Collins that the Ordinance being " AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY N� OF AZIDSA, CHANGING, ESTABLISHING AND RE-ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF PASADENA AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF ELEVENTH STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF FIRST STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA",be taken up for the first reading. The ordinance was read by the Clerk. Moved by Collins, seconded by Clark that the Ordinance be declared read for the first time and taken up for the second reading. Motion carried. Motion carried, Moved by Collins, seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance being "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHIITG A FIRE DISTRICT IN SAID CITY OF AZUSA 120 AND REGULATING THE ]LOCATION AND CONSTRUCEION OF BUILDINGS WITHIN SAID DISTRICT AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 118 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA," be taken up for the first reading. Trustee Collins offered a Resolution and moved its adoption being g A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE AND RE-ESTABLISH THE GRADE, OF TENEH STREET FROM THE WEST LINE. OF PASADENA AVENUE TO THE EAST LINE OF VERNON AVENUE AND THE GRADE OF SAN GABRIEL AVMWZ FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF ELEVENTH STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF SECOND STREET, IN THE CITY OF AZUSA." Moved by Case, Seconded by Clark that the City Attorney confer with the Pacific Light and Power Corporation regarding Electricity furnished the Pacific Rock and GravelCompany. Motion carried. President Roach stated that the high school Trustees G �,Qwished to turn over their 15 shares of Stock in the Azusa Agricultural Water Company to the City.of Azusa, and they in return to receive City Water without charge. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee. CC"�Z'h Moved by Clark, seconded by Case that the City Clerk wtr C' notify the Water Companies,having wells in the City of Azusa, that their check for 2% of their power bill is now due and payable to the City of Azusa. Motion carried. Moved by Case, seconded by Clark that the City call Y3� r9 for $35,000 water bonds, instead of $30,000. F Motion carried. Moved by Case, seconded by Collins that^Eresident appoint a committee to confer with the Railway Commission regarding the reduction in the price of electricity from the Pacific Light and Power Corporation. MotionQcarried. President Roach appointed on that Committee Trustees Case and Clark, and Attorney Glover. 12-1 Moved by Case, seconded by Barnes that the City Attorney and City Engineer take the necessary steps for didewalk and curb on the east aide of Orange Avenue.
