The Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7:15 P.M.
Present at roll call; Barnes, Clarl, Case and Roach.
Absent; Collins.
Communication was redd from the Pacific Light and
Power Compapy stating that they knew of no agreement with
the City where they were to pay 2% of their earnings from
the pumping plants inside of the City limits,
The matter was referred to the City Attorney
Communication was also read from Wardell and Wagoner
asking for an extension of time for completion of their
sidew&lk on Aaameda Avenue.
Moved by Barnes, seconded by Clark that the extension
of time be granted them.
Motion carried.
Moved by Barnes., seconded by Case that the bide for
City Printing for the coming year, be opened, examined and
publicly declared.
Motion carried.
The bid of McQuiston and Currier was read by the Clerk
Moved by Case , seconded by Barnes that the bid of Me -
Quiston and Currier being at the rate of 45.0 per Column
inch per issue, each column to be two and one-fourth inches
in width, be accepted.
Motion carried.
Trustee Barnes offered a Resolution and moved its
adoption being " A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING CERTAIN WORK TO BE DONE ON
FICFTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZWSA."
The Resolution was read by the Clerk, and seconded by
Case.
Roll call; Ayes; Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach.

Trustee Case offered a Resolution and moved its adoption S
being " RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF
FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA FROM THE EAST LINE OF
SAN GABRIEL AVENUE TO THE WEST LINE OF PASADENA AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND DETERMINING THAT SERIAL BONDS
SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF."
The Resolution was read by the Clerk and seconded by
Barnes.

A petition protesting against the tree.planting
on Sixth'Street was read by the Clerk.
Moved by Clark, segdmded by Barnes that the petition
be referred to the City Engineer to be checked up.
Motion carried.
Moved by Barnes, seconded by Case that the Ordinance
being "AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF AZUSA ON THE 3rd DAY OF MARDH,1914,
AND SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY THE
-- PROPOSITION OF INCURRING BONDF.D2DEBTS OF THE SUMS OF
$35,000.00, and $"20,000.00 FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCT-
ION AIM COMPLETION BY THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA, OF CERTAIN
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS, DESIGNATINGTHE ELECTION PRECINCT
AND POLLING PLACE, AND APPOINTING ELF.CTiON OFFIMERS FOR
SAID ELECTION," be taken up for the third reading and
put on its final passage.

Moved by Case, seconded by Ba es that the Ordinance
be adopted as read.

Moved by Case, seconded by Barnes that the checking
up of the protests of Sixth Street tree planting }Ie con-
tinued for one week.
Motion carried.
Moved by Barnes, seconded by Clark that the Public
Works Committee order enough trees to take the place
of dead ones on Center Street,
Motion carried.
Trustee Barnes offered a Resolution being "A RESOLU-
TION OF -.THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PRO-
1 VIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS." and moved its
adoption.
