The Board of Trustees met in regular adjourned session at 7:30 P.M. ere, Communicationswac read from C.E.GaUldin, Omer Dehny, and a report from Tax Collectdn C.L.SmIth, alae a letter from the Pacific Flectrid Rail-way'Company stating that they would not protest against the work bn Crescent Vrive if the, City would grant them permission to run a spur track to the Azusa Citrus Anon Packing House. Moved by Clkrk, seconded by Baines that Ca.GauldYn be given the ten day leave, of absence as: asked for in his communication. Motion carried. W,F..Llapetzky was before the Board was before also T,M,Gi,llenwater and Mr Wuster protesting' against the work bn Orange Avenue. Motion rarried. The Ordinance was read by the Clerk. ` Moved by Barnesq seconded by Collins that the Ordinance be declared read for the second time and taken up for the third reading. Motion carried. Mr J.E.Hibsch was before the Board asking for more fire equipment. Moved by Collins, se'condedh by Barnes that the matter be referred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. Motioh carried/ Moved by Cass, seconded by Barnes that $1.00 be allowed for each automobile or conveyance that pulls a fire apparatus to the fitee. Motion carried. Mr Hibseh also asked permission to use the council chamber for fire meeting on Wednesday February 15,7.419. Moved by Case, seconded by Collins that the request be granted. Moved by Collins, seconded by Clark that the Oddinance being "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROVIDING A SYSTEM FOR. THE ASSESSMENT, LEVY AND COLLECTION AF TAXES,"be taken up for the first reading. Motion carried. The Ordinance was read by the Clerk. Moved by Case, seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance be declared read for the first time and taken up for the second reading. Motion carried. The Ordinance was read by the Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Barnes that the Ordinance be declared read for the second time and laid over until next meeting. Motion carried. Moved by Case, seconded by Clark that the meeting adjourn.
