PresentmV roll call; Barnes„ Clark, Case and Roach, Absent; Collins, Communication was read from Meier Bros, asking for a permit to hold a clay pigeon shoot west of town. Moved by Clark, seconded by Barnes that the Permit be granted. Motion carried, Communication :1150 was read from Wardall and Wagoner, e� ^^ wo asking for 15 days extention of time for the completion of sidewalk onaAlameda Avenue. Moved by Clerk seconded by Barnes that the permit be granted. Motion carried, Trustee Case offered a Resolution andmoved its adoption being " A RESOLUTION OM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY --e- OF AZIISA, AWARDINH THE CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF FIFTH STRIINT2 SN THE CITY OF AZUSA, FROM THE FAST LINE OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE TO THE 1fl-,ST LIN:' OF C ERRITOS AVENUE." The Resolution was read by the Clerk. The Resolution was seconded by Clark. Roll call; Ayes; Barnes, Clark, Case andRoach• Noes; None. Absent; Collins. Communication was read from the Pacific Light and Power.�< Corporation enclosing a check for 030.46 being 2% of their earnings at Azusa Irrigating Company pumping plant. Moved by Clark, seconded by Case that the City Clerk notify the Pacific Light and Power Corporation that they 'ZEa still owe us 20 of the earnings at the Contract Hater Company well, ti.G.Hall well, and W.F,.Klaptezky well, and that they must send the check for same or their franchise will be cancelled. Motion carried, D,C.Smith was before the Board asking that the Board request.ithe Standard Oil Company to put an eight foot concrete wall around their station for the protection to the City in case of fire. Moved by Case., seconded by Clark that the City Clerk � &;ft--d-4q write the Standard Oil Company requesting them to meet with the Public, Works Committee ,in regard to the building of this wall, or some other method of protecting the City in came of fire. Motion carried. 140 Trustee Case offered a Resolution and roved its adoption bedng "A 8eeolution of the Board of trustees of the City of i Azusa, Authorizing the City Clerk to Publish a Notice In- viting Sealed Proposals to Purchase Certain Municipal Bonds". The Resolution was read by the `Clerk. The Resolution was seconded by Barnes. - Roll call; Ayes; Barnes, Clark, Case and Roach. Noes; None. Absent; Collins. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Clark that the City'have pO` Q 50 certified copies of the bongVsproceedings 'printed and sent toe the different Bond buyers. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Barnes that the Notice of B C` Sale of Municipal Light and Water Bonds be publidhed once in the Southwest Contractor. Motion carried. �J dip Moved by Case, seconded by Clarkt.that the City Attevney -1 fpr and the City Engineer go ahead with the sidewalk and curb on Tenth Street. Motion carried.
