' MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2004 — 6:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in Adjourned Regular session, at the above date and
time at the Azusa Light and Water Conference Room located at 729 North Azusa Avenue, Azusa,
California.
Mayor Madrid called the meeting to order. Call to Order

City Attorney Martinez, City Manager Cole, Assistant City Manager Person, Community
Development Director Bruckner, General Plan Project Manager Brownfield, Assistant Community
Development Director Onaga, City Clerk Mendoza, Deputy City Clerk Toscano.

General Plan Project Manager Brownfield made a detailed presentation on the Azusa General Pian L. Brownfield
regarding Land Use, Historic/Cultural Resources, Infrastructure/Public Services, Recreation and Comments
Geologic Hazards. She then answered questions posed by Councilmembers.
Assistant Community Development Director Onaga provided a power point presentation displaying L. Onaga
recent developments and how they have responded to them with raised standard, even with an Comments
outdated General Plan, they made and will continue to make pedestrian oriented/street friendly
projects. He noted that the projects show policies of the general plan and how they translate Into
implementations. He then answered questions posed by Councilmembers. Lengthy discussion
was held.
Mr. Kevin MacDonald, Attorney for Vulcan Materials addressed Council expressing his concerns K. MacDonald
regarding the Development Code and General Plan relationship with regard to surface mining:

It was consensus of Councilmembers to adjourn. Adjourn
