Azuna California, June 8th,1914.
The Board of Trmstees of the City of Azusa met in regular sesston
at 7:30 Poi.
Present at roll call; BTarnes, Thompson, Petty, Clark, Cc11ins.

The minutes of May 26th,1914 and June let,1914 were read and
approved.
Communkcation was read from the State Compensation Insurance
Company stating that they would re -instate our ineurance covering
empaoyees�of'our City and that we would not have to pay deposit
' I
Premium of $126.00 for thirty days.
Communication was also read from the Pacific Light and Power
Corporation in regard to the reduction of the rates in Electricity.
Also a communication from the Board of Health .
Also a communication from L.Case and Case Realty Co,Agente for
the owners for curtain lots on Angeleno Avenue, encAosing $40.00
in cash and asking for four water tape.
Moved by Clarki..,seoonded by Barnes that the matter be referred
to the Public Works Committee with power to act.
Motion carried.
The matter of protest of Improvement of Tenth Street was taken
up by the Board, hearing arguments on both sides.

Moved by Clark, seconded by Barnes that the protests be over-
ruled and the City proceed with the work.

Mr E,M,Loomis was before the Boerd asking that a license be
placed on Transfer wagons doing business inside the City Limits, also
laundry wagons ,
The City Attorney was instructed to draw up an Ordinance to
that effect.
Mr C.E.Varney was before the Board asking for lights for a
moving piaturehhow at 6th and Azusa Avenue.
It was agreed to give Mr Varney the lights if he would sign
an agreement that he would use the lights for one year, which he said
he was willing to do.
Trustee Petty and Trustee Clark asked to be excused from the
meeting, which was granyed. I T y
Trustee Barnes offered a Resolution and moved its adoption
being " A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
ORDERING STREET WORE TO BE DONE ON TENTH STREET IN SAID CITY FROM THE

EAST EINE OF VERNON AVENUE TO ',HE WEST LINE OF PASADENA AVENUE IN
SAID CITY",
The Resolution was rend by the Clerk, and seconded by Thompson.
