Present at roll call; Barnes, Thompson, Petty, Clark. 1 Absent; Collins. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Petty that Trustee Clark act as President Pro Tom. Motion carried. Communication was read from H.L.Wilson in regard to the assessment on property belonging to Rose Hamlin. The matter was referred to the City Treasurer and the City Attorney for adjustment. ,Engineer Gierlich reported favorably on J.O.Stanfords bid on Azusa Avenue work. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Thompson, .that the contract .(,� be uwarded to J.O.Stanford for the sidewalk and curb on.AzUBa Avenue. g•�•' ^F.I Motion carried. it Trustee Petty offered a Resolution and moved its adoption being "A RESOLUTION AWAIIDII40 THE CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROV.RUIPIT OF AZUSA AVENUE." The Resolution was read by the Clerk,and sgconded.by,Barnes. Roll call; Ayes; Barnes, Thompson, Petty, Clark, , Noes; None. Absent; Collins. The City Attorney stated that the deeds across the.rtP ht of way of the -Santa Fe would be ready for the City Thursdpy. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Petty that the Ordinance,being "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THIS CITY OF AZUSA, RE1PEALING"` ORDINANCE N0, 152, AND RESOLUTIONS N0. 342, 349, and 350, OF THE, BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIOHB, ORDMSDAND MOTIONS PASSED OR ADOPTED IN THE PROCEEDINDS FOR THE InGUANCE OF MUNICIPAL BONDS AS CONTEMPLATED BY RESOLUTION NO 342. OF SAID CITY," be taken up for the first reading. Motion carried. The Ordinance was read by the Cderk. Moved by Barnes, seconded by Petty that the Ordinance be ( ,a .tet declared read for the first time and laid over until next meeting. •Motion carried. Communication was read from the Supervisors stating that a `C. ,. �. convention will be held at Blanchard Hall, in the City, of Los Angeles, July lst,1914, at 10; A.M. for the purpose of securing necessary data for adopting a comprehensiNTA system for.storiq water protection.
