Azusa, Cal. Sept. 8th 1914
The Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7:30 PM.
Present at roll call Barnes, Petty, Collins Absent;Thompson and
Clark.
The Minutes of August 17th were read and approved. Trustee
Thompson now present.
cl--^ f" ACommunicatione were read from the Pacific. Light & Power Co,
Standard Oil Co.,State Compensation Insurance Fund . A Communi-
cation was also read from Irene B. Barnes asking for a ten day
vacation commencing Sept. 12th 1914.
„ - It was moved by Petty and seconded by Thompson that the vacation
be granted Mise Barnes. Motion carried.
It was moved by Petty and seconded by Thompson that the Ordinance
being "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS

WITIiIN THE CITY OF AZUSA EXCEPT FOR BONA FIDE MEDICAL PURPOSES, IN
THE MANNER THEREIN PROVIDED AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 73 AND ORO
DINA14CE NO. 158 OF SAID CITY"be taken up for the first reading.
Motion carried.
The Ordinance was read by the clerk.
Trustee Clark now present.
It was moved by Petty and seconded by Clark that the ordinance
be declared read for the first time and taken up for the second
reading. Motion carried.
The ordinance was read by the Clerk.
Moved by Petty seconded by Clark that the Ordinance be declared
read for the aecondf time and be laid over until next meeting
Motion carried.
Moged by Clark and seconded by Petty that Mr. M. J. Pierce be
appointed to act with the. City Attorney in drawing up a plumbimg
ordinance Mat•inn carrddd.

purchase a sign to be placed in the street at Azusa ave and Centre
Street directing the people to keep to the right and that the
Marshal take charge of the sign. Motion carried.
The City Engineer read hie report on the storm water districts and
culverts.
It was moved by Petty seconded by Barnes that the City purchase a
team.

Absent: None
Moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the Clerk's Annual Report
be received and filed. Motinr. carried.
It wq moved by Petty and seconded by Barnes that the
City Attorney and City Rngineer go ahead with the work on the
Culverte:and assessment districts. Motion carried.
It was moved by Clark seconded by Barnes that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
