located in Irwindale.
Mr. Russ Rentschler addressed Council providing information about grants, DVD and CD he dislribuled to R. Rentschler
Council, a band to consider for Concerts in the Park, displayed a sign promoting shopping in Azusa, noled Comments
comments by a Councilmember regarding the Mills Act and the Special Election to be held.
Mr. Ian Scott addressed Council expressing his Opinion regarding Ilse Azusa Rock Quarry and Mcasme A; I. Scott
Ile posed questions regarding acreage disturbed/removed, production, Slate Law requirenncnls of Commenls
conditional use permil and local air quality, lax payments, and rock tonnage.
Ms. Suzanne Avila of California Resource Connections addressed Council announcing the new
Community Garden at Memorial Park slating flint grants were received from Canyon City Foundation and
Rivers and Mountains Conservancy totaling $23,000. She (banked Recreation and Family Services
Department ror all their help with this project. She also addressed item D-10 o❑ the Agenda stating that the
ileo (teals with hansfer of grant received from Rivers and Monutains Conservancy (RMC) to fund .Bike
'frail connection at Todd and Sierra Madre to the main Bike'Trail.
REPORTS, UPDATES COUNCIL BUSINESS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS -STAFF
City Manager Delach addressed item C-4, Communities Facilities District Bonds at Mountain Cove slating
that This was the diligent work by the Financial Officer and Urban Futues which would save 13% on the
cost of the bonds, about 1.8 million dollars, and "'0111(1 save $200-$275 for individual lax payer in
Mountain Cove. Ile reported that the Police Deparinnenl made a siguilicant arrest of individuals for illegal
marijuann operalious. He then advised that he would be consulfiug with legal counsel regarding Mr. Scotts
questions posed during public participation.
